"बहिर्मुख वृति आपकी बनी हुई है। ससार की तरफ घूमती हुई वृति, वो आपको परमात्मा की तरफ या कहना चाहिए अपने आपको जानने की तरफ नही जाने देती । और उसका परिणाम यह होता है कि हम एक भीड़ में ,जैसे भेड़ों का झुंड चलता है, उस तरह से, भीड़ की तरह से जीने लग जाते है। तो आप अपने अन्दर कोई विशेषता नहीं ला पाते।
आप अपने अन्दर एक पवित्र इन्सान बन सके, आप अपनी शान्ति के साथ जी सके, अपने प्रेम के साथ जी सके, अपने अन्दर एक सतोगुण को आप जन्म दे सके तो वो बहुत बडी चीज है।"

"Our instincts are outward focused. Our mindset is so much towards the world that it does not allow us to focus on God or even properly know ourselves.
The result of this outward focus is that we live like sheep and follow others instead of being able to bring peace within us.
